Who is membership for?

Membership provides professional development, resources, and practical support for people who educate, support or care for children across a wide range of settings and stages of practice.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Family Day Care and other home-based educators
  • Centre-based early childhood educators
  • Educators working independently
  • Nannies, tutors, and private educators
  • Educators supporting children in alternative, community, or cultural settings
  • Educators working in Australia and internationally

This space supports educators working in Family Day Care and other forms of home-based education and care, sometimes known internationally as family child care, childminding, or home-based childcare.

While some courses and resources are designed with home-based and Family Day Care educators in mind, particularly those working independently, many topics are broadly applicable across different education and care contexts.

Educators are welcome to explore any course or resource that feels relevant or useful, regardless of their primary work setting.

Is the content only relevant to home-based or Family Day Care educators?

No.

While a significant portion of the content reflects the realities of working independently in a home environment, the library also includes topics that are relevant across many education and care settings.

Many centre-based educators, tutors, nannies, and private educators choose to access courses originally developed for Family Day Care because the topic is transferable, practical, or professionally useful.

The focus is on real-world systems, wellbeing, risk awareness, and professional confidence, not on limiting who the content is “for.”

I’m a mentor, coordinator, or service provider — is there a membership option for me?

There is currently no membership tier designed for mentors, coordinators, or services.

Individual membership (Foundation Access or Practice Support) is licensed for personal use only.

Mentors, coordinators, and service staff may choose to join as individual members for their own professional learning, under the following conditions:

  • Membership access is for one individual only
  • Content is licensed for personal use only
  • Content must not be shared, reproduced, adapted, or used for:
  • Service operations
  • Educator inductions
  • Mentoring programs
  • Staff training or PD delivery

❌ Membership does not grant permission to use content with or on behalf of educators, teams, or services.

If you are seeking content for service-wide use, mentoring programs, or educator support frameworks, relevant resources are available via separately licensed standalone products or professional learning agreements.

If you’re unsure which option is appropriate, please contact us prior to purchase.

Professional learning for services and organisations

Services, approved providers, and organisations may contact us to discuss licensed professional learning options, including:

  • Virtual training sessions
  • Face-to-face workshops
  • Conferences or professional development events

These engagements are delivered under a separate agreement to ensure appropriate licensing, educator access, and compliance with intellectual property requirements.

❌ Content delivered through workshops, events, or conferences is not included in individual memberships unless explicitly agreed in writing.

What types of topics are included in the course library?

The course library covers a wide range of educator-focused topics, including:

  • Risk management and safety
  • Compliance and professional responsibilities
  • Organisation and systems
  • Wellbeing and sustainability
  • Documentation and planning
  • Everyday practice challenges

Courses are grouped into categories to make it easier to explore topics relevant to your role, interests, or current needs.

Are all courses included in Practice Support?

Most courses are included as part of Practice Support.

However, some specialist topics designed specifically for Mentors, Leaders, Coordinators and Services (Profiles 6 and 7), are offered as standalone purchases rather than being included in the subscription.  These courses are clearly labelled on the website.
